Our Church

Over the years, by the grace of God, Salvation Theatre has been waxing stronger and stronger as God enlarges our coast.

Who We Are

Our Identity and Root

Salvation Theatre is a part of The Redeemed Christian Church of God and was birthed by Majesty Court Parish through a house fellowship that started in March 14th 1999. The Church was inaugurated in Dec. 5th 1999, when it took off with a membership of five adults and three children.

Growth and Progress

Over the years, by the grace of God, Salvation Theatre has continued to wax stronger and stronger, taking root downward and upward, as well as increasing in stature laterally, as God enlarges our coast. Our first daughter parish was birthed in Wolverhampton in 2004 and we have been able to birth seven other thriving parishes in Birmingham. Salvation Theatre has also raised several men and women of God who have since moved on and are impacting the kingdom of God in their own individual capacity, in different parts of the world, through other ministries. In particular, Salvation Theatre, through her resident Pastor, Tunde Lawal, has been keenly and massively involved in raising and developing people through the Bible college, by operating a satellite campus of the Christ the Redeemer College of the RCCG mission in the UK, since 2003, when the College was inaugurated.

We have held several conferences, including our annual prayer and praise conferences, empowerment, and deliverance conferences, all of which have impacted and empowered members and the community in no small measures, as people and families, as well as neighbours, have enjoyed deliverances and salvation of God.

In 2008, we were favoured to purchase our permanent place of worship, where we are currently located. Since this move, the church has directed its energy on impacting the immediate community with a focus on active evangelism within the locality and working directly with members of the local community. In 2020 Salvation Theatre started the “Soup kitchen’, which is a project geared towards meeting the need of the poor and underprivileged in the community.

The project is thriving and fast enlarging with close to hundred residents of the community coming to receive package of food at the church site every Saturday.

Presently, Salvation Theatre has a membership of several hundreds, but the expectation is to experience an explosion that will bring our membership into the numbers of thousands, by the grace of the Almighty God.

Vision

The general vision of Salvation Theatre is to see Jesus Christ glorified in Birmingham, the Midlands, our immediate habitation and without doubt, globally. We want to see the light of God – “the light of life” shine over territories, such that the inhabitants will experience joy, peace and spiritual fulfilment in God Almighty, through the name of Jesus Christ. We also want to see the power of the forces of darkness broken and the righteousness of God established in the land. However, more than anything else, Salvation Theatre is concerned with establishing a model Church where Christianity is embraced with the consciousness of salvation and the goal of eternal life.

To this end, we have the Fruit of the Spirit Ministry, through which the resident Pastor actively ministers in writing a devotional through the weekly church bulletin to the church members and visitors. Salvation theatre is also a vibrant praying church, engaging in prayers fervently in the church on a daily basis, which are mainly geared towards the following:

 i) Spiritual explosion – a release of God’s power for spiritual fulfilment, breakthroughs and experience of signs and wonders.

ii) Numerical explosion – expanding the kingdom of God rapidly through active evangelism and soul winning.

iii) Establishment of righteousness, love, and godly unity among the family of God’s people.

Iv) Fostering a multicultural assembly.

 v) Entreating God for peace and security among the families of God and within the local communities and immediate neighbourhood, as well as the society at large.
